Wedding belles in dazzling dresses and ‘Millionaire’ shoes

Only seven days to go to the first of four of my cousins’ weddings taking place this December. It’s a crazy, hectic month ahead but I am on top of things with my ravishing wardrobe and accessories perfectly planned and all my hair stylist appointments scheduled. Some of my family members are still searching for show-stopping gowns that will steal some of the brides’ attention so my lovely relatives traveled from far and over the ocean to end their desperate search in Sandton City. We were torn between Carlo Pignatelli creations – a full-length silver off-the-shoulder dress and a fully beaded black gown with fur detail as well as two striking, sweeping gowns in Roccobarocco. I preferred these mostly because of the vibrant colours and flattering design. The purple rouged dress with its fishtail bottom will look mesmerizing on a curvaceous body while the drizzle of bling and a single shoulder strap is enough draw the eye to a delicate color bone. So if you’ve got all the right contours, you too can flaunt it in one of these beauties…

Yasmeen asked me to help her choose a new purse because it was time to replace her worn out old wallet. I lead her to Fraser’s where the latest Marino Orlandi bags and matching purses are on display. There’s a snakeskin range very similar to my own Orlandi piece, but the colouring leans more towards yellow and red. Diamond stitching on patent leather characterizes some of the other models and if you love the look of ice cream, then you will adore the delicious appearance of one of the bags which sees pink swirled with cream.

Outside of Italy, I still end up feasting on Italian food. I guess it’s part of SA charm where international cuisine is a norm. Lunch was pizza topped with cherry tomatoes, rocket and shavings of Parmesan cheese at the newly revamped Walnut Grove and not too long after, I sipped a decaf latte with strawberry and mascarpone roulade. All this good food gave me reason to walk the mall flat and that’s when I came across these elegant yet oh-so-sexy Millionaire heels in Roberto Botticelli’s window. Sigh… :-)
